For handling sexual harassment matters that involve employees (to include “volunteers”), the personnel officer shall have the powers of a department director and shall follow the procedures set out for a department director to impose adverse action as stated in PMC 4.50.050. The employee subject to a sexual harassment claim shall have the rights set forth in PMC 4.50.060 and 4.50.070. For handling sexual harassment matters that involve customers and third parties of the city, the personnel officer may make recommendations to the city manager, who shall then act to resolve the complaint.
