A. A business license must be surrendered to the city by the licensee to whom it was issued immediately upon the licensee ceasing to do business.

B. If there is a change in ownership or form of organization, such as from a sole proprietorship to a partnership or a corporation, the admission or withdrawal of a partner, or any other change in the ownership structure, the licensee making such change shall surrender the current city business license to the city for cancellation. The successor owner shall be required to file a new application for a city business license pursuant to this chapter and, upon approval, a new city business license will be issued.
